Curus reinvests in Knodd as it scales up

27 Sep - 2022

Knodd dominates Swedish digital child health care and has almost 10,000 consultations per month.
Now their offering is being broadened to include child psychologists.
Knodd raises SEK 30 million to scale up and go international.
Curus has been an investor since the first seed round in 2019 and is now reinvesting in their A round led by Orkla Venture and First Venture.
Family office Linbo Invest also entered this round.
– We know that strong brands are important and Knodd has quickly taken the position as the leading player in digital child health care in Sweden.
When you have a strong brand, it is easier to broaden your offering in the segment and therefore we believe in Knodd, says Charlotta Gylche, Investment Manager at Orkla Ventures.
Knodd has the highest rating among all digital healthcare providers on the Appstore and now aims to broaden its focus on pregnancy to reach expectant parents earlier, and to start offering contact with child psychologists.
Founders Jakob Hedlund and Josefin Svegborn have been very focused on delivering a service that gives parents of young children peace of mind.
– “We see that there is great potential to offer more services in child health care and also around pregnancy.
We are now also looking at which new countries might be suitable to enter.
We have a winning concept that supports both the child’s family and relieves the burden on the healthcare system.
Of all the visits we have, only a few are referred to the emergency room, which is a big saving for society,” says Jakob Hedlund, CEO and founder of Knodd.
The largest owners of Knodd are the founders Jakob and Josefin and the investment company Curus.
The plan is now to broaden the offer and look internationally.
– “I am impressed by Jakob and Josefin who have followed their vision to offer a service where parents feel that they get help quickly and feel safe in contact with experienced pediatric nurses and pediatricians.
It is exciting what Knodd can now achieve with even more strong investors as partners, says Johan Bloom, CEO of Curus.  For more information Johan Bloom, CEO of Curus AB [email protected],+46 733-64 84 90 Jakob Hedlund, CEO of Knodd [email protected],+46 707-29 46 40
